12x12, oil on board with palette knife, 2015, Studio painting
The last light of the day is magnificent. When it makes long cast shadows on a snow-covered field, you see the honest harmony of shapes and colors. The distant hill was frosty magenta underneath the warm glow of the last light. I also enjoyed the incidental composition of light and dark in the scene.
