Plein Air painting painted at the MN Landscape Arboretum., 2018
I rediscovered the Arboretum this summer, blooming colors and smells! It is 1200 acres of gardens and tree collections, prairie and woods and miles of trails. It was borne out of the University of Minnesota Horticultural Research Center supported by the community of nature lovers. You can get to this hydrangea farm from the 3-mile drive. I was so glad to stay until 7:00 PM and used the shadow pattern to help my composition in this painting.
