12x16, oil with palette knife, 2023
A studio painting based on a Plein Air painting Morning at Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge. In my studio, I tried to replicate the moment of the Plein Air painting. It is an interesting process to watch a painting develop with time and intentionality. I think Morning Stillness is a fitting title.
