Gladioluses in Blue Vase

16x12, oil with palette knife, 2023

I didn’t paint during the summer while I was away from the studio. I missed it so much! When we returned home, the first thing I did was to set up a still life. I bought bundles of gladioluses and started to wield my palette knife. Here is the painting! The strong blue of the crystal vase which was a gift from my brother offsets the bright explosion of colors.
