It was truly a treat to visit one of the first vineyards in the 1970s in Napa. From St Helena, a long winding road through the woods and the fields leads you to the top of the mountain, where you are greeted by an incredible open view. Then you know you have arrived at the Buehler Vineyards, the 4th generation vineyard and winery. This iconic view is from the favorite spot of the first-generation winemakers, who happen to be the grandparents of my friend. During our visit, we had a great time getting to know the family and the wines from this beautiful atmosphere. Now, my job was to create a painting that would remind my dear friend of the stories of the family and the place.
