This is the only watercolor painting in the show. Watercolor was my first love before I discovered the oil painting 7 years ago. In preparation for this painting, I scouted the area at different times of the day in order to observe the shadow patterns on the Gonda Building of Mayo Clinc. The perfect shadow design happened at 11:30 am on a December day and I took many photos. Afterwards I came home to make this chilly winter day painting in my studio. Please note that I had to put a hardy Minnesota gentleman walking to the Clinic.
