Winter is good time to do still-life paintings at my studio. This arrangement with eucalyptus was designed to challenge myself to see greens in different perspectives in relation to the light source. I am quite happy with the result. May I present this flower arrangement to you, especially the ones who have to wait a couple more months to see fresh greens!

Spring is on the way!

Happy early Valentine's Day

It was fun to see my painting displayed at MSP Airport along with other paintings of Outdoor Painters of Minnesota members. If you are traveling through MSP, look for this OPM display case at the main shopping mall across from F concourse. I chose a painting from Cascade Meadow Nature Center to represent Rochester. It is my largest Plein Air painting so far, 12x16 painted on location. It will be on display through the end of March.

I am updating my website www.heejuneshin.com frequently with new paintings; I have had 5 new ones since the last newsletter. As always, thank you for your continued interest in my passion for painting!!
