I hope your Mother's Day was lovely. Mine was! This sweet bouquet was delivered to my door for Mother's Day. I was compelled to paint thinking about the sender, my youngest son. I used intense colors liberally to describe mother's love for the child. Do you agree?
Bluebell woods are here! only for a short while!! It is my annual joy to greet bluebells around Mother's Day in Rochester. By the time bluebells show up in the woodlands, I am ready to pack my easel to go out to paint. Being in the bluebell woods, the carpet of flowering bluebells plus sound and smell of spring is incredibly exhilarating. The problem is you have only a short window of time to capture the feelings. I was almost too stressed not to miss it. And I didn't. These paintings were done on the grounds of Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch last week. |
