A couple of years ago, my painter friends and I made a trip to Napa Valley for a week of painting. I made 5-6 small plein air paintings in different wineries. We also enjoyed learning about winemaking, growing grape vines, not to mention sipping a glass of wine after a day of painting. Now in my studio, I am recreating the moment. Here is a scene of young vines carefully cultivated in proper growing conditions. Good wine is a result of hard work!
I have wonderful news to share about the MedSend fundraising event earlier this month. We had about 100 attendees on a cold, rainy night. There were warm fellowship, great foods and the sense of community to support medical missions. Three speakers inspired us with their stories in the field. As you know, I had a small show of '12 paintings for missions' as a part of the event. The response was overwhelming. Nine paintings were sold for the missions! Thank you so much for your support for art and missions. 12 paintings for missions

After the high spirited MedSend event, I was going to take a break a few days. But when my friend gave me this bouquet at the event, I knew I had no choice. I had to paint before the flowers wilted. My dear friend put me right back to work! |
