I don't have a green thumb, just ask my numerous plants that died on my watch. So I am very grateful when my peonies show off their abundant blooms year after year. Painting peonies has been my annual ritual of joy. Here is this year's rendition of my garden peonies. On a rainy day, my peonies and I had a great morning together inside. It was painted at one sitting, Alla Prima to preserve the freshness of the flowers.

I hope you have marked your calendar for June 22nd! It is finally happening! Diane and I have been preparing for this show for more than a year. We will have 40 oil paintings all together. Captured by Light is a good description of us. We both are fascinated by the effect of light on colors. We hope you will become 'captured by light' as you see our paintings. Frameworks Gallery is well known for its enthusiasm for the Minnesota local artists. www.frameworksmn.com

the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
