I learned a lot about penguins during the trip. Nowhere else but Antartica is home for them.

Here in Brown Bluff, there is a colony of Adelie penguins.

I was delighted to see this one actor penguin on an iceberg; he/she must have a story to tell you.

The colors of icebergs! The different blues and greens reflect the time passage of snow and air over a long, long time.

When fallen snow compressed on a glacier, the air bubbles are squeezed out and ice crystals enlarge, making the ice appear blue.

What a difference from the ice cubes in my freezer!
